Besides fresh fruit and vegetables and organic milk, there's another reason to shop at the new Whole Foods store in Cranston: a Rocky Point Park mural. While you're shopping at the store, look up. You'll see various depictions throughout the market of classic Rhode Island foods, everything from coffee milk to Federal Hill. And in the far right corner, you'll find Rocky Point Park, with a photo provided by our production team.
But wait, it gets better....on sale at Whole Foods starting December 11th: our DVD for You Must Be This Tall: The Story of Rocky Point Park. It makes a great gift, and you can buy some acai sorbet while you're at it. Stuff is real good for you.

Great mural, saw it at my last visit to Whole Foods.....the film was wonderful and can't wait til the Zamborano Hospital film!!! Good Luck to all of you!!

I recently bought two copies of the RockPoint video (one for myself and one for my sister whom recently moved from Rhody to ND). We both have fond memories of Rocky Point. I liked the movie very much and am sadened that we lost such a nice part of RI history and clean family entertainment. Now I hear how a developer wants to put condos on the site of the old Rocky Point (like RI's condo market isn't already over-saturated). Someone else is also proposing the building of an amusement part on the old 'Camp Meehan' land on the North Providence / Lincoln RI line on Twin Rivers. If there is someone with interest of building an amusement park, lets have them look back at Rocky Point! Lets let the 'Rocky Point tradition' shine once again!!!!
Does anyone agree with me on that?
